Topic: COUCH POTATOE Posted: 11 Jul 2011 at 3:21pm |
I think I have an idea...Instead of doing healthy outdoor things, paying for passes, worring about all the crazy laws they keep coming up with, wearing out my body and joints by being active and taking chances injuring myself...I will just lay on the couch and eat, watch tv, and drink. Pretty soon I will be so fat I wont be able to move and then the State can take care of me becuase I will be disabled from being so fat!!!
Then I can live for free and never have to worry about anything ever again...

It might just be me, but not only did you just waste a minute of my time, you also don't seem to stick to what you say.

Before kayaking I made a sport out of drinking bourbon every spring. Give it a try. It always made me happy.

Dave at least you have an excuse to take pain meds. I have to make them up.
Hope you get well soon. Ear problems are the worst.

Dave,
Ok I'm going to preficit with the fact that you're an awesome guy, a good paddler, and I miss hanging around you; I hope to see you on the river when I return home! However, I feel the need to say this: stop b*tching, you whining pee-pants! You're worse than the stereotypical girl... and yes, I CAN say that, because I AM a girl! *HAHA*
Instead, why don't you make use of your pent-up energy about this topic and do something about it? Write your State Congressman and tell them of your frustrations about the message that the government is sending: Active, healthy people are taxed, while obesity is financially supported.
Since you obviously spend time on your computer chair, write your letter, and email it:
XO

First and foremost, I have to apologize. I wasn't trying to be a b*tch, so much as make a very serious point: I think we (as a generalization) complain too much about things that we don't stand up for, when we can try to make a difference. I think it's really important for people to tell the government what kind of message they're sending-- in all different facets of life-- and let them know how their choices affect different people in this Country. Bottom line being this: I don't think we can really get upset with the someone, government or otherwise, if we don't tell them that something they're doing is bothering us. That being said, I think it's also important to be able to vent and get things off your chest, and have the opportunity to complain about things that are bothering you. After that's all said and done though, I revert back to my point.
