4.4 Ft on the stick gauge at 10:15am and 4.2 Ft when we took out at 1pm.
The high water event moved a lot of wood around on the Upper and Middle Pilchuck. Mostly for the better. There is one new spot with river wide wood towards the beginning of the Upper. We were able to go over the middle of it today but lower water beware. This is the only piece of river wide wood. All the rest has washed out.
If you use this video from Wiggins as a reference the new wood is about at the 40sec mark.
I was out there yesterday at lower water (4.15 ft falling to 3.8 ft) and there is another new piece of wood in the upper Pilchuck. This piece is in the middle of the most continuous sections of the upper. A large tree has fallen in the river from the right blocking 90% of the river. You might be able to sneak around/under on the right but at high flows this will come up very quickly! This is a mile or so below the piece I mentioned above in the previous post.
Here's a crappy iphone video of Jed running the middle line at the falls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px1zjfkjOOQ
