   Topic: Need accessories:

Hi all. New to boating and to PP. My wife and I just got used boats and we're slowly putting together the rest on the cheap. I figured I might as well post here in addition to my daily craigslist cruising!
If you have stuff to sell, we need: 2 spray skirts (s/m and lg tunnels), a 196 or smaller paddle, pfd (small), 2 helmets, float bags, other stuff(?)...
Used and inexpensive is preferred. Thanks!

Yo Slow, check out the FSBO area on the site there are plenty of paddles and skirts listed!!!

Thanks James, been working my way through the listings there. Since I'm new to all this I'm still learning which brands correspond with what kind of gear, so the searching process in the FSBO section is slow for me (...unless there is an easier way to search through all the postings other than by brands? ...I couldn't figure out a better way, but they don't call me Slow for nothin' ![]("http://www.professorpaddle.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif") )

I've got the pfd's sorted. So for those of you following this hugely interesting thread you can scratch that off the list of things I need. Dave - good luck w/ the tekno man, but, you see, I've already got one.
After my original post I thought of adding the fact that I have a bunch of climbing gear that I'd be willing to trade off parts of for some of the paddling gear that I need...in case any of you are inclined to occasionally go up instead of down.

Hey SLow.... I tossed up a better search feature for those that don't know the exact brand or model of what they are looking for. Hopefully it will help more people get responses from folks that are interested or getting started.

James - Thx, that speeds things up considerably for me (although the original way did give me a crash course in manufacturers and brands of paddling equipment!)
I am still hunting for spray skirts if anybody has any old ones lying around that they need to get rid of...
