FYI check out www.boiseriverpark.com Whitewater parks are becoming more acceptable, must be 1/2 dozen around the country, some make money for the community and most are free. It can be done.

Water Parks are possible, some states actually encourage them. Here is the latest from Idaho.

Yep, there is even some luxury homes being built near that section of river and the for sale signs read "KAYAKERS WANTED". I wish I had enoug money to purchase one of those homes, especially since Cascade Idaho is becoming pretty expensive since they built the Tamarack resort there. Riggins on the other hand is crazy, Rafting is already one of the main tourism draws there.

Is there anyone here that is following the Boise Park?
It would be great to make a contact with someone there that is involved in the development from a boaters perspective. There are several members of the City of Renton Council that are interested in discussing the process that takes place for these parks, and the closer they are to our state the better the resource will be.

I heard Tamarack closed. Some friends just bought some land in McCall and mentioned it to me. Either way, they're stoked about the proximity to the play in Riggins, Brundage Mt., the Payettes, and the new park. Hopefully they retire soon so I can visit them!

Tamarack went bankrupt and is now being operated by the bank, they haven't decided whether or not they are going to open, is what I have heard.
