I'm headed down to run the Grand soon and am looking for a more suitable boat to take down there. Hoping to find something like a Necky Jive, Dagger Axiom or anything in between -- a longer boat with a planing or semi-planing hull, and ideally ends I can get underwater. The idea is to maximize play without making the flatwater suck too much.

I'd consider borrowing, buying, or trading beer etc.

Phil, I have had a lot of interest and sales on the DragoRossi Pintail kayak for folks running the grand.  Its comfy, fast, and surfs like a dream.  Below are a few links

I have demos to test out here in Vancouver and 2 retail ones left.  Let me know if you want a test drive or if I can answer any questions.

Phil,

If you decide to go the old school, long playboat route, I've got a 1999 Necky Gliss in great shape you can have for cheap... like $200 cheap, and that's with a Snapdragon sprayskirt thrown in for good river Karma.  PM me if you're interested.

Have a great trip!!!

John

Take the Axiom. It would be AMAZING on the Canyon.

Try to find an Axiom, Z One, or Pintail. I have a Pintail if you want to buy it for $350.

Cheers,

Thanks for the great advice, everyone.

So, who out there wants to sell or loan me an Axiom? ;)
