Calendar Event: Green River Clean Up Posted: 26 Apr 2011 at 9:02am |
Just a heads up that this weekend is the Green River Cleanup & Robe Race. So there are plenty of options, go race or check it out up on Robe or head down to the Green and pickup trash in the annual cleanup.

Just talked (Wed. 10:30 a.m.) to the regulator for Howard Hanson
dam (Ken Brettman USACOE). His prediction for the Green River (Green
River below Howard Hanson) for Saturday goes like this. There is a lot of uncertainty about what the inflow
will do. We will be passing inflow minus
about 100cfs. Out flow should be around 1500 cfs. Could easily go to 2000 cfs. Low end 1000 to 1200 cfs. High end 2800 to 3000 cfs. Expect 1500 cfs.
This should make for an excellent turn out for the
cleanup. Boaters register with WRRR personnel
at Headworks rd. or Kanaskat Palmer park.
Ground crews register with FOG/MGRC/Sierra
club personnel at Flaming Geyser park shelter 3. Fog/Sierra club fund raiser
picnic also shelter 3.
Enjoy,
JayC

river) “Looks like gates will be set at 1375cfs for the weekend.”
Enjoy,

They even removed a truck and an engine block from the Upper Green. What makes it amazing is that a group of people carried the engine block up from the Paradise takeout!!!! WOW!
