boy, I hope this graph is wrong... http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?12137800
It's still early so maybe the dam guys are giving the paddlers some time to get into canyon before turning water facuet on, hopefully.

How funny would it be if they dropped outflow back down to 100cfs at 12:00...

Oh man that would make for an adventure and colorful commentary!

I chickened out trying to get to the upper putin...  Snotty sloshy deep snow on the way, we saw the snow cat tracks up there though!

How was your day Tom?  I heard you got to ride on that beast!

River was AWESOME!!!  We hiked into the diversion dam and had plenty of water, by anyone's standards.  The hike (though I was crying a little then) was totally worth it!

How much did they finally release because last nasty was PUMPING!

Great crew, awesome level.  Only one mandatory portage!  (landslide would go, but we left a 1st D ready).

Thanks TOM!!!!  Wouldn't have known about this without you, I have HD Gopro shots of everything if anybody with the study wants to see.

4 hours including the 3 mile hike!  A LOT of people missed out!
H2O please

Great day!   The Upper had around 650 cfs today when we were up top, and over 2000 cfs when we got to the lower Sultan.

There is wood EVERYWHERE up there, but most of it was manageable and we could easily run most all the rapids (except for a few areas)  we had only one wood portage today.

When we got to the lower Sultan, it was a pleasant suprise.  Last Nasty was pretty sporty with flows over 2000 and made for a nice big water finish to the day.

Thanks for the heads up Tom!!!

Brad broke his paddle in that rapid the weekend of the test flows.  I remember him paddling the rest of the way with it sticking up from his pfd.  He was easy to spot from then on!
