I'm heading out to the OP this weekend with a friend and my dog.  I'm picking him up in Tacoma so we'll probably go around the south side.

We're just looking to hang out, maybe hit up a hot spring, or short easy hikes, or maybe the beach.  Everywhere must be dog friendly.  I'm not feeling so great so something low key. We're going to camp too, but don't want to stay in a campground, we'll probably pitch a tent in the NF somewhere.

So wise PP crew, I'm not really sure where to go or what to do.  do you have any suggestions for us?  The plan right now is to just drive and take a gazateer.

Head up 101 North outta Aberdeen to the Quinault. Awesome place to hang out. Beaches along the way and past the Quinault should you fancy more coastal environs. Free beach camping?? Camping up the Quinault trail requires a backcountry tag ($6 per night) and parking pass?? I think a NW forest pass. Can't go wrong on the 101.

Hike to Shi Shi beach from Neah Bay.  Probably the best beach in my opinion.  No crowds.  And it is just north of the Point of Arches.

Late to the game, but if you're out again, check out Devil's Punch bowl on the Spruce Railroad Trail at Lake Crescent.
