I am off May 2nd through the 8th, and plan on doing a multiday trip. This is just before the permit season starts so the there are a lot of options. I am thinking a preseason Hells Canyon or Rogue trip would be good weather and flow dependent. Another option would be something in the Deschutes drainage.

Anyone interested?

Kyle

It would depend on the trip. If we did Hells Canyon I would want to go to Heller Bar so it would be 5 days. The others would be 3-4.

I'd be more into Hell's since I haven't done it. I've done the Rogue twice now. And I'd plan on self supporting. Also have done the Lower Deschutes taking out at the falls.. can't remember where we put in though. but i could be down for a different section of the Deschutes.

But I do need to find a dog sitter.

Another option I forgot to list is the lower Owyhee. It will probably be low by May, but doable if I bring my small raft and we pack light.

perfect packraft layover day shenanigans.

I did that many moons ago when Imnaha had a pretty good glow (maybe ~1000 cfs) and even the last few hundred yards of the creek were very fun III-IV.

It looks like it will be a Hells Canyon trip. Leaving May 2nd, launching the 3rd, and taking out the 7th at Heller Bar. We'll be at Pittsburgh Landing on the 5th if anyone needs a shorter trip.

I'm very interested in going if there's still room. Will this all be kayak self support?

There is definitely room. I will be rowing a 16' raft, so I will be able to offer at least some measure of gear support. If PaddleGirl, Greg, you, and my wife all go I can probably carry all the gear.
