Topic: Rope/Pinned Boat on UU Cispus Posted: 23 Jul 2014 at 9:13am |
Pinned boat at the second tier of boogie below the warm up falls, right before the next class IV. Rope is tied to boat extending up out of the water and onto a big log on river right. Right after the falls, where you can see the big logjam on the right, scout, left or right. All channels have wood. Potentially a squeeze under the big logs on the right.
Keep your eyes out for a bent shaft Werner in there too

You can squeeze under the wood on the right. We found your paddle swirling in an eddy a short way downstream and threw it up onto the bank. River left.

Swimswim, thanks for the heads up about the paddle. If anyone goes in there and can get it over to the right bank let me know.

Yo- went back in there yesterday and pulled your nomad out of the logjam. It was full of sand, but seems otherwise intact. The seat's a little out of place, but float bags/first aid kit/water bottle were all present and no obvious hull perforations. It's on river left at the bottom of that rapid. It's in a bit of a mini-gorge, but I'm sure with the upstream bridge and a little resourcefulness you can get in there. The paddle is now on river right, just below and across from the end of the mini-gorge where a draw comes down to the river.
