Maybe so. I will have to wait and see what the levels are. I would probably do the tootle over the Cispus.

It appears I am taking it upon myself to change the spelling of certain rivers. Let's see if it catches on.   :)

I've never done the toutle. I may join in. Is it cool? Better than Tilton? Tilton is closer to me.

I really like it, but I also havent run the tilton but once. Its got some fun routes down it if you scout or know it well enough. Ive had at least one person comment how a few of the rapids arent class 3 at 1500 but I just think it gets busy when the water is between 1200-2000 because of the size of boulders in most of the rapids.

less gorge so it feels less remote & theres a flatter section in the middle that we usually use to loosen up for hollywood gorge lol

How's the portage around the gorge? I'd be game to run this with my son, but he may or may not want to run the gorge.

pretty easy, you can actually portage the top half and run the bottom half right side with no worries. im thinking of putting in a little above the 504 bridge for a longer warm up & being there about 11-1130 so time isnt an issue.

He's 10, but has a pretty good roll. He's run the Sauk, the Sky from Boulder down, the Wenatchee play run, Nooksack gorge, and some class 2 runs before that. He's pretty solid on class 3.

alrighty then, yeah the toutle isnt too bad, at the 2000 end where it should be sunday its more of a class 3+, the first two named rapids (stair steps & tempest in a teapot) pretty early in the run require you to know the easy line or else you'll end up in trouble.

I'm out. Kid decided he wasn't down for the 3 hour drive, and I'm not all that interested in the run for myself at this level. You guys have fun.
