The time has come. We've had the Northwest Creeking Comp, we've had the Robe Race, and we've had the LW Race. Now it's time to kick back on some good ol' fashion class III and see what we're really made of.

On Saturday, May 16th, the first event of the Wenatchee Valley Race series will take place. The course for the race will be from the Goodwin Bridge (above Cashmere) to THE FIELD at Riverside Park (Some running required).

There is no entry fee to race. Just show up at Riverside Park at 5:00 PM on Saturday and get your race face on. Shuttles will be decided according to participation.

This is a BOATERCROSS race. Everyone starts a the same time, first one to the finish line is the victor!

We will be looking for Volunteers for photography/video as well as safety and shuttle.

Sponsors for this event include Ninkasi Brewing, Chaco, Jackson Kayak, Mountain Khaki, Beyond Clothing, and Bird Where.

ALL PARTICIPANTS WIN PRIZES!!!

So mark your calendar, get over to the Wenatchee Valley, and get rad with some down river boat racing.

PM me if you have any questions.

See you there!!

Goodwin Bridge is the first bridge you go under after Turkey Shoot. The rapids after the bridge are Snowblind and the infamous Granny's Panties!

It is pouring rain in Leavenworth right now and it has been for the last 15 hours. Levels on the Wenatchee are well on their way up and it looks like they should be holding for the weekend!

Remember, race registration is at 5:00 at Riverside Park in Cashmere this Saturday! There is no entrance fee. Just show up, sign your life away, and get sick through Snowblind and Granny's. I would recommend being early if you can. Maybe get a warm up play run in before?

Prizes will be awarded to all participants! We have awesome sponsors such as Chaco, Mountain Khaki, Birdwhere, Jackson Kayak, Kokatat, and Beyond Clothing.

Afterwards, Mike Curtis is hosting a guide appreciation party at his place on Alice Lane in Dryden. Mike will be shooting photos of the race as well so information on the after party will be readily available.

Unfortunately, I won't be there as I have a wedding to attend. So, Dan Int-Hout and Chris Lubenow will be taking the helm on making this thing go down! These boys know how to party so I guarantee this will be a fun event.

Enjoy!

Love,

T-Pot

If there are three or more competitors of a certain class, i.e. longboat, play boat, SUP, etc we will open up several divisions. Just be nice to Dan and Lubes and you never know what could be possible!!!

A week and a half ago, we hosted the first race of the Wenatchee Valley Race series. Thanks a ton to Dan and Lubes for making it happen. This coming weekend, its time for round two!

This weeks race (Saturday, May 30) is a team race from Barn Beach in Leavenworth, to the KOA campground at the end of Boulder Bend. Teams can be 2-4 people. The idea of this team format is to get more paddlers out there racing. If you're a strong paddler, invite some newer boaters to join your team. It's all about working together to get down the riv! Lets get a huge turn out for this one!

Once all competitors have reached the end of the race, everyone will leisurely float down to happy wave where we will have a little surf throw down and BBQ. Don't forget, all competitors win prizes! We have a ton of rad shwag so come see what you can come up on!

Don't forget, Saturday evening after the race is the Leavenworth Film Festival! Bonus points for those who wear their formal Film Fest attire under their dry suit during the race.

See you all at 5:00 pm at the Barn Beach parking lot.

Love,

T-Pot
