Lost 2 raft paddles on the Big Q Sunday. Both Sawyer Prosticks. One is all black and the other is Yellow with a SW design on the blade. If anyone goes in there, I'll get you beer or cash if ur able to strap them to your kayak. Extra beer for the SW paddle (had it for a long time)!

Thanks,

Hey Josh, we were in there on Sunday evening and didn't come across anything like that. What rapid did it happen in? I'd say it's likely that it went all the way down to the braided channels at those flows.
The line will become apparent

Thanks for the reply Jed,

I think you guys must have been there right before us, because we didn't get out till almost/at dark.

It was either the second or third rapid in the gorge after Landslide #1. The one with the recirculating ledge hole on the right and then you had to move back to the left and exit between a rock and the wall (I came out of my seat and cleaned Dan and I out of the boat @ the exit).

If you make it back and find them, I have beer and/or cash for you!

Thanks,

Josh 503-926-1800

Hey Jed, I saw your recent post about the lower section on americanwhitewater. You mentioned that it would be worthwhile hiking out at the put in for the lower big Q if you did the upper. Jeff and I are thinking about going back in there this weekend if the levels are good and I was wondering if you know an easy way to spot where to hike out is if you just want to do the upper and how hoard the hike out would be with a raft as that portage was kind of a bitch (we portaged on the left at river level) and the lower section was pretty manky in a raft. Thanks a ton for any info!!!

It's a pretty quick walk down the trail at the (closed) Rainbow Falls campground.
