Thanks for the tip. Looked at the website yesterday, says the road to Cooper lake is open and free of snow 1/4 mile up from the SLS hwy.

We had to hike up from the first larger section of snow covering the road. Shouldn't be too long and it will be gone. There is some wood on river right at the put in slide; just stay center and all is good. Unfortunately my shoulder dislocated and I had to hike out so I can't give a detailed description of the rest of the run, but I was told that the ledge prior to S-Turn has a river wide log requiring a portage. I can say that up through the ledge past norms was clean. Think it's the one after that where the wood is, but not too sure. Have fun out there!

there is a river wide log at the bottom of the second ledge below norms. Don't run, portage left. S-Turn and Sharks currently clean. Another large limb immediately below the mini-ledge upstream of voodoo. We manked down the right side with the decent flow, if it doesn't flush it might be a portage at low flows. Didn't get a good look.

The hike would have been extra brutal if it wasn't for all the help getting my boat up to the trail on river left. Once on the trail it wasn't too bad. Got some funny looks from folks doing day hikes, but at least it gave me something to chuckle about.
