Topic: Wenatchee Week Discussion Thread Posted: 02 Apr 2007 at 2:12pm |
This is the Wenatchee Week discussion thread. Please post any questions below. Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the Wenatchee Week | Trip Page I'm gonna be camping in Leavenworth area during most of the week of April 7-15 and hitting the Wenatchee (and possibly Methow) a ton. Got lots of time off? Or a couple midweek days? Give me a call or post here.

I would like to go but I can't stay there cuz I dont have anyting to camp except for a sleeping bag... and my hostmom won't let me stay away for more than 2 days anyways.... but if anyone is going out there for one or two days and could give me a ride I'd go! I just need to know couple days before so I can get a boat and some gear...xD

Erik,
Looks like you got spring break for a week. We will definitely see you out there this upcoming weekend... and are potentially planning a nor- cali trip. Interested?

Hey Harms and Yotes,
Will be there this weekend and through Wed p.m. at least. Do give me a call and let me know where you are meeting up, etc. I've got a couple partners for Tues and Wed, but I'm open for the weekend.
Harms, what and when are thinking for Cali? Perhaps I could be persuaded.
Sven, sorry, I'm over there for longer than a couple days, but welcome to Seattle! I was an exchange student in Germany myself, in Flensburg, in 1987. War eine geile jahre!

We are headed over this afternoon, missing the noon sessions, but hopefully in time for a lower lap or play in the ephemereal dusk light.
Cali ... looks good, but all weather forecast show temps dipping with some showers.
Plan is to hit up the Cal Salmon drainage. There really is SO much more to do (burnt ranch, new river gorge, ect), but when the Salmon goes it's to much fun to leave. Lots of bedrock/boulder garden pool drop class IV with a couple V's that can be walked. Tons and Loads of fun stuff. Thing is we may not leave for the goods until Thur (wed nite possible) depending on other folks plans. We'd be back SUnday nite. It's a haul of sorts, but very managable 8hr drive (or is it 10). Worth every ounce. We are looking for others who may want to ride down in the posse van (share gas $) or caravan. IT is like $300 roundtrip (for our lowly 13 mpg). Thats what it cost us over Xmas break. Anyrate, play it by ear. The current levels are good for the main run on Nordy and Butler, both classic runs. They can be combined for a long day or broken up (nordy is 9m/butler 4m). NF and SF may be too low to go but then that could change.

A good kickoff to the season! Glad I was sick so I could take those sick icicle photos!
