I'm going to be up there running laps at 2 or earlier.  A couple people are planning on being there later in the evening (5ish), so regardless of what time you show up you will have some company.  See cars but no people?  Wait 15-20 minutes or be a pal and meet at the takeout with a shuttle.

Jeff, I'm in for Wednesday action.  Stompy level or not.  Should be there around 5:30.  If the level looks good, I'd like to run the Franklin stretch as well.

I actually did get stomped the first time I tried to run it with James (think he said it was over 1000). Fearsome Foursome turned into one drop...

Unfortunately, my boss just blackmailed me into playing soccer for our 'work' team this afternoon.   Anyone going up friday?

Yeah we'll see what the level really is up there.  Could be stompy and could be fine.  Couldn't find the gage rock last time I was up there, so looked at the staff gage on Denny creek which seemed a lot less subjective.  See you around 5:30.  

water level dropped about an inch below the peak on guage rock this morning. 

It was a perfect just over medium flow.  Water flowing freely in and out of the cup in the gauge rock.  Held steady all afternoon, if anything came down slightly.

Flows were good.  Slightly higher than a week ago although the staff gage at Denny Creek was reading 3.6-3.7.  We took a look at the gage rock on the way out and it had about 2 inches of water going over it.  There was some discussion last night about the gage rock looking like it has changed.  Might be time to put a staff gage on the rock wall up there.

I will say this with the increase in flow some creative lines can be explored and not all of them are boat friendly.

May head up there Friday mid morning to afternoon for some more fun if anyone is interested.

Franklin Section Update...

BAD wood in Z-turn.  I mean like kill-you bad.  Only one log though.  It will most likely need some help in coming out.

Wood/big tree in landing zone of second falls (20 ftr.).  There's a line (normal line on river-right), but the wood is in play, and doesn't look like it's coming out anytime soon.

Annoying wood in lead-in to Superboof.  That one will come out at some point, but for now it kind of blocks the lead-in.  Hard to reach, but will come out easily.

Wood in the middle of the first rapid (longer, manky, boulder rapid).  If you hit the normal line, yur fine, but a missed line could prove to be bad.  Other than the new wood, this rapid has cleaned-up & improved with a new slide & boof in the entry.  Looks fun.

Until that wood in Z-turn is gone, takeout above Z-turn.  There's a angled log that extends into the river above Z-turn.  Looks best to takeout right there.  Takeout on river left and hike up the small creek gully.  Don't miss that takeout.

Def. some new log-jam deposits lurking around.  More high-water could bring even more wood into that run.

Bummer about all the wood.
