All this snow is going to turn into a fine week for high-water kayaking. We have our first pineapple express coming in early this week. I hear there is a bad case of the whitewater flu going around. How about Pilchuck on Monday or Wednesday?

I am likely into it if the levels come up over night.  The rain waited kind of late to get going today.  I also worry a bit about being on it when there is the first BIG spike of the season before everything is cleaned out.  Let's touch base first thing in the morning.  541-953-6683.

Levels are a bit frisky today. We'll try again tomorow or Wednesday depending on how long the rains gods piss on us.

Jeeburs - the Sky bolted from 9K to 13K in a 2 hours this morning and the USGS graph shows a sky-bound curve.   Here comes the flood.

This is freakin nuts.  Yesterday I spent the better part of the afternoon shoveling 8 or so inches off the carport and porch roof to keep'm from collapsing.  On Friday a cord of wood (seasoned) was delivered.  It was sitting under three tarps,  unstacked.  Then the snow, and now the friggin rain, leaving a lake in my front yard and half the wood under friggin water.  Shiazz.  What the heck to do?
Guess we'll go gaze in awe at the spectacle as it unfolds.  Jeeze!

Dang, I go to sunny Colorado over the weekend and look what happens.

I gotta say though, I'm not super stoked on this warm front since all 3 feet of freshies is currently being washed away.

That's a bummer about the wood Mike, hopefully you can elevate it under the carport.

I would probably be up for a Pilchuck run on Wednesday. Are you talking about doing the upper and the lower?

I would be coming from Belingham however so I couldn't help you out on a ride.

Pilchuck peaked at 5500 and is coming back down. It may be perfect tomorow. Give me a buzz if anyone is interested, I'm going to take another crack at it.
