Well, I think my girlfriend dumped me, kicked to the curb, dismissed, ect. So, now I'm back out there in the scary world of single people. I'm thinking wouldn't it be cool to have a place to post singles trips? I guess it may not work here since most of our constituents are guys and I'm not gay(not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyway I am bummed right now......:(

Bummer dude, looks like you caught that a whitewater site probably isn't the best singles venue. Best thing to do now is drown your sorrows in a healthy dose of white water, be it solid or liquid.

Donīt worry about it bro, there are lots of fish in the pond, but not so much on the river... maybe take up salsa dancing or something... chicks dig that.

Lie about your profession... Chicks don't dig the sound of Sanitary Engineer
Do something like Commercially Bonded Recycling Representative
I dunno ... you will find that special lady... just give it time and don't play that online game so much.

Thanks guys, I think I will hang with you guys on Saturday Tobin. I'll let ya know Friday night. Haven't bean on the river in about a month and a half, so an easy run sounds good.
I was thinking about joining a fitness club to get toned up and in better shape to help with my WW skills, anyone have any good ideas on clubs? I was thinking 24 hour fitness because there is one by my house and also one close to my work> It would be nice to find a trainer that understood the requirements of a paddler.
One more thing James, I think you have my profession mixed up, I sell industrial equipment not industrial waste!

Is this the Dave that was going to get married? Either way, sorry to hear it. Paddling with friends always helps.

Courtney Ya, but there is still some hope. She wants a month of space to figure out some things then she will let me know. So I am hanging and waiting and having a hard time doing this, but I'm trying.....

Dam Dave, that sucks! Best of luck.
As far as clubs, the best one is the one that is the most convenient. An exercise regimen inevitably will hit rough spots where you just want to flake. Most people don't make it more than a month or two before they lose interest and move on to something else.
The most likely way to stay with it is to be a member at a place that is close to home, or close to work, and just fits easily into your routine.

Dave, I don't know if I have met you on the river but since you are a fellow paddler, I am compelled to put my 2 cents in. OK... don't wait for her to make up her mind, for a month, for a week, for a day, for a second. By waiting you are making yourself less attractive to her by the second. You don't have to be mean or vengeful, but you do have to set the parameters of the relationship if you ever want respect. Listen Dave, that woman is out there right now looking for a Man who takes the lead on these matters, so do it. Listen, I am not saying these things to be a prick. Just as one who knows from costly experience.(is there any other kind)? MM

nice job the good feeling that you are getting is in part from knowing that you are recovering your power. feel that pain, embrace that pain and see if it takes you to a place of even more power. MM
