As my cheesy username would suggest, I like powder.....a lot.   I just had a pretty epic weekend on top of an epic season so far.  Anyone else been completely unattuned to paddling lately and in the snow zone?

Nope, been keeping a healthy balance between the two. Had some awesome pow on saturday, followed by holding the video camera on sunday (forgot my booties, kinda necessary on a hike out run).

Yeah buddy, it's been epic for sure.  Stay tuned cause there's still lots of winter season left.  Occasionally I drift off into a daydream remembering the good times of the last couple springs/summers here in Washington, and then realize what an incredibly ridiculous snow pack exist for this next years boating season.  But for now  the xcitemnt is in the snow zone.  Here's a swig to staying loose and limber till the melt starts....

Hellz yeah !! So many epic day's. Last wed at steven's and thur's were my best day's Ive ever had on a snow board at steven's. Got the most drop's I've ever had in a day all rough-fly accumulaited around 130 ft of vert. I'm triing to add Tye stick to my bag of Idropped that. I need someone to photo the line I want off it. Or at least film me off it with my camera. Need's to be planned with radio's wich I have but I need like three other people to make it happen. I'm hopping for a good opening in the next week. It's a good 80' with the snow piled on top. It's One worth getting on film for sure. If any one want's to film or help with backup let me know. I'd appreciate it. I'm sure I have friends at the pass that'll help out but hey you might just want to see it in person. This season has been a chuck-e-frizzy-freash year for sure. My new tattoo on my arm that I gave myself for my b-day has been appropriate. It's the begining of a half sleave of snowflakes. Fit's in perfect with our season. Rooster comb is looking good ... HMMMMMMM, POw-pow!
There's no such word as can't!so stop making excuses!!!!

I can honestly chime in here with a bit of gratitude. During my hiatus from paddling in recovery I have enjoyed the Pow emensly. Last weekend me and dave even snuck in early after I-90 re-opened for a deep run of the circuit... the landings were soft!

I've been all powder all the time so far this winter but I must admit that I am missing the water.  For not though it os off the the Legendary Banked Slalom for the weekend.  Anyone going to be up there?

Do not go up to Baker...ever.  It is a crappy mountain with inflated snow depths, lousy terrain, expensive lift tickets, long lift lines, no good backcountry around, and quite frankly, on a clear day, it is not very scenic.

I bet that the paddling around there sucks too...

ahh, f--- it dude, lets go boating...

Hey John, do you know if Tretwold is racing this year?  I saw he finished near the top of the Masters category last year and am wondering if I'll be racing against him.

John, thanks for the info. I would like to add that snowboarding during the week is lonely. Its always ICY from Monday to Friday. The weekends are much better times to go. Just go to your job like you should. Weekday skiing sucks!
This river don't go to Aintry. You done taken a wrong turn.

Smart man.

As for myself, I just got home from Mt. Hood Meadows, AMAZING day. The snow wasnt perfect, but it was sunny and awesome. Almost killed myself there last weekend. =)

You don't have to worry about me, Jon. I live too far away to get to Baker often, but good luck keeping the goods for yourself.

BTW, although not as "bad" as Baker, stay away from Stevens too!

That's been easy... Steven's has been closed for 4! days now!  So much snow that DOT can't keep the passes open.  Kinda like going back to the 1920's when people just didn't cross over to the east side during the winter.  But whatever.
So anyone been to Crystal lately?

Make that five days (wasn't it closed Thursday?).  Closed Monday now.  Who wants to go up when it opens back up?

Weird Steven's is closed tommorrow.  Hwy 2 reopened today, so why the closure?  Anyways, there's a little footage of the slide at tunnel creek on steven's pod cast.  Pretty epic winter were enjoying.

Oh yeah!  Dave Evans is soaking up the warm sunshine down in Costa Rica.  Must be nice building up that vitamin D.  cya when ya get back.

They have to dig the lifts out before they can open it for skiing.

Pow!
Yep it's been a winter of white blurriness with amazing lines and fantastic hucks.   Boating not even on the radar, except a little sail-type boating on a couple rare sunny days in the Sound.

I show up here at ol PP to check on status of the crew only to find the inmates have engaged in lynchings and verbal battery in too many threads.  WTF???  Is it the non-snow-shredders who get a little cooped up and cranky thru the winter?

I've had the best months of the year out communing with the trees on my big fat skis, and just wanted to stop in for a peak..  Didn't expect such a dose of downers from recent threads.

See ya'll around May...

Ashley -
Not sure when we'll head South for the Hood action.  That's more of a destination for some summertime double header fun with your fav - the white salmon.
How bout you just let me know when you hit Stevens again!
And let us know how the longboarding is going out at Short Sands!?
