I know he's a amazing paddler and probley great guy but I can't help but think of him as a do anything for his sponsors kinda guy.
his TR's always are filled with "and then I put on my Kokatat drysuit and Mountain surf sprayskirt and got in my Jackson Super Hero"
just my opinon of him.

All Due Respect Kiwi but that comment is a bit short sited I think.  Our industry is one of the smallest filled with some of the poorest and cheapest blokes on the planet.  The fact that people actually make a living doing what they/we love to do is amazing.

So what he gives props to those who pay his bills and help him earn a living.  Shit all you have to do is watch damn near any sporting event these days and they are doing the same thing....but those blokes are getting paid a lot more money to do it.

Sell out...not really.  Just living the dream if you ask me.

I like how factual the article is... everyone knows that La Paz is really 120 feet....  They clearly did their research...

no, I still idolize him as a 15 year old, I'm telling my mother that I'm going to make it as a sponsored kayaker and not go to collage, she just shakes her head. If I could be in his shoes I would do it, no hesitation.
