This is the Back in the Sky Saddle discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the Back in the Sky Saddle | Trip Page

I am running from Index / confluence down to Big Eddy on Sunday. Woo fricking Hoo I am back in a boat. Being this is my first kayak trip in a year (frickin mortal shoulder) we are going to take it pretty slow. I will probably be portaging BD. Make that call when I get there. Anyone / Everyone is welcome, if people are only interested in doing from RR Bridge / Split Rock Down, we can figure out a pretty close meet time there. Carnage is always welcome, as I will probably be part of it! This is going to be a fun, no pressure, long float down, we can scout anything. I am frickin stoked! See you out there!

I thought there was no boating for you until fall?  This sounds like a bad idea...

I pissed off my second shoulder surgery until the winter. I needed to enjoy the summer.
I am very comfortable on the Sky and will use my judgement on how I proceed, followers included.
it will be a great thing to see some of my friends faces that have not been seen in a while.
It is going to be a day of smiles.
Sure?

My left shoudler is and has been trashed for some time so I just make everything a right boof and right stroke.  It doesn't really work but I am able to enjoy this warm weather paddling!

I'm in for Sunday, but wanted to let you all know that the gauge is way off. Today it read 2400-ish but paddled like 4000-ish (the awesome surf wave at the bottom of Aquagasm was working, and it usually doesn't come in until the high 3's.)

If I can't get any takers for the Nooksak AND I'm recovered from a stupid long drive yesterday, I'll see you down there, but will just be doing laps and watching the carnage on Boulder drop then hit the wave I missed last weekend.
More water, please.
