Friggin awesome weekend on the Cascade!!!

I'm surprised that river isn't loaded with more boaters on a weekend like that!!!

Rochelle was amazing running that stuff on the river board!

A#1 river, A#1 weather, A#1times

well, i tried to get a group together....i couldn't even get three boaters together...part of it is my own lack of social skills, part of it is the worthlessness of this site....sorry james, but when the cascade is one of the only things going within 2 hours and can't get any interest on PP, then i really have to question it's efficacy.

And I only came out with a bruised elbow from some stupid rock above shark's tooth, and a bruised ego from the second time down Bridge.

And you can look all you want, but you won't find any balls between my legs!
More water, please.

Maybe I should have done a better job with this.  There were 3 Bellingham kayakers out there with us on Sunday as well.

I am not sure if it is the site.  Truss is primo, and there were only 3 Seattle boaters so far as I could tell down doing it.  I am not sure where everyone went, but it wasn't the White Salmon, and evidently wasn't the Cascade.  Perhaps people weren't boating?

Sometimes I wonder if kayakers don't want to run with us catboaters.  I could see why you might be nervous about it.  I will always welcome those with the skills in any craft to join us out there.  Considering a trip like the SF SKokomish or Robe, I sometimes wouldn't want to run WITHOUT kayakers!!!

I think that the Cascade is one of the most under-boated rivers in WA considering its awesome whitewater, scenery, and hot weather season!!

Good chance I would have been into the Cascade, Tumwater or the Ohane but I was in Montana over the weekend.  Got a kid now too so that kind of reduces my free time.

Never done the Cascade this low, how manky is Shark's Tooth at this level?  Would seem nasty for catboaters.

Sharks tooth is kind of manky but there are all kinds of ways thru there for a cat.  I really like the level we had last weekend....

thanks, justin, for your comment. you are correct that REAL relationships are the gnat's ass, even if your conclusion is a bit overly concise and linear in your thinking.

i find that a site such as PP is highly beneficial in terms of organizing a group of people....in addition, it's also a good way to meet new people with which you can develop a REAL (is that an acronym?) relationship.

thanks again for you bit of wisdom.

I'm not nervous about catboaters....my carpool (not procured through PP, Justin; it was based on what you would call a REAL relationship) bailed at 7am.....

Chip,
Your right, I was a little too concise.  I love this site, but sometimes it does fall short.  I think it is more useful to folks that live in/around Seattle.  One example that I can think of is the fact that Kyle posts tons of Sauk trips, and hardly anyone takes him up on them.  It's not the Cascade, but how many times can you do the Sky.
