I hiked it a couple years back on river right.  Much of what I saw, peering through branches and the like, hanging over verticle, smooth gorge walls, looked awesome but at the same time, I did not see many egress points.  It seemed to me that knowledge of rope work would be needed but what do I know?
The 1 mile run from Wildcat Creek to Dingford Creek on the MM (below the gnar) is a fun section when the MM is at 1300 cfs btw.

The bridge is washed out at Taylor River, so you cant get up there anymore unless you hike 5 miles...

I just tryed to drive in there
(to the washed out taylor river bridge) and it's closed around 6 miles short. their repairing that bridge and doing other work to the road this fall and winter, the road will open again sometime in spring.
