What are the Top 5 rivers you want to run, but never have?
Here's my list:
1. Clear Fork Cowlitz
2. Fall in the Wall
3. Cascade River
4. McCoy Creek/Yellow Jacket Creek
5. Canyon Creek Stilly
Here are 5 I want to get on this winter:
1. Little White
2. Big Quilcene
3. Sams
4. Matheny
5. SF Skokomish
If anybody out there it looking to get on any of these, lets plan early so when the water comes in we can hit it without having to plan and rally the troops.

Um. I don't know if this is TOP 5 or not, as I change my mind alot, but here goes:
Upper Pilchuck Creek Pilchuck River - (anyone got a quad to run shuttle with?) SF Salmon Yellowjacket Illinois
And CC Stilly is almost a backyard run for me (more literally for Texas Dave) if you like I can give you a shout next time I head up there.

Good one Brett, bringing back some memories (even if I was in a Fly.)
One run on Lake Creek and you'll be moving to Eugene, let me know if you head south. There's nothing like it in WA.

It would seem that there is enough overlap, we ought to be able to get some good weekend trips going on this winter...
Who wants to cross something off this weekend?

do you know chris enos darren? he want's to hit the sams too, he's even scouted the shuttle out and everything. it's a long run, you'd have to go over to the OP and hit matheney or something the day before so you can get in early enough to make the hike and run because the roads gated around 4 miles from the put in.
my list:
sams
ohanepecosh
upper upper cispus
limp wrist
jefferson

My list of PFDs I'd like to experience; no order:
Siouxox Creek, Eagle Creek, Hagen Gorge, Yellowjacket Creek, Icicle Creek, NF Payette
List of previous runs that I'd like to run a lot more:
Little Klickitat (AWESOME), Camas Creek (not too crazy but a lot of fun), Truss, Lake Branch WF Hood/WF Hood (assuming LBWFH is less woody)

Top Ten Runs I want (not in order. And no, I couldn't keep it to just 5.)
-Clear Fork Cowlitz
-UU Cispus (missed it again)
-Dosewallips(Elkhorn and other sections)
-Grays River
-Johnson Creek
-Chehalis
-Toutle
-Washougal (various sections)
-Clearwater (Nooksack)
-N. Frk Lewis (class IV sections)
Top Five Runs I want to go back to (again and again)
-Little White
-Robe
-Icicle (any and all sections)
-White Salmon (all sections, especially the Green Truss)
-The Sky (what can I say? It always runs, it's close to home, and when it flows big it scares the sh*t out of me)

I can't believe I forgot Robe!!!!! That really should be number one for me and my catboat! Another river not on my list that is like a pipe dream is the Grand Canyon of the Elwha. I know its got enough cfs for a catboat but I'm not sure its doable even with the 1000 cfs recommended flow. The hike in would be a real bitch, especially with catboats!!! Another thing I would like to do is hike in through the dosewallips and run the fun section of the Hayes that Sprague recommeded

Looks like we need to figure out some trip leaders who have done...
1. Cascade
2. FITW (how long will this go on rain til the snow makes it a no go?)
3. Robe
4. McCoy & Yellowjacket
5.Grays
6.SF Skokomish
7. Matheny
8. CC Stilly
9. Jefferson
10. Big Quilcene
11. Matheny & Sams
12. LW
Clear Fork Cowlitz will probably have to wait til next year.
Only runs I can help with is the Top Tye and UU Cispus. If anyone wants to head that way and levels look good let me know.
If anyone wants to take initiative to show us down a run listed let it be known. If not, lets try to plan some of these when they have water.
I'd like to try and hit every run listed above this winter. I think that would be great.
I'm always game for the Green when it comes up too.

Ok-
of the 12 runs you listed that I've done...
runs I've done more than once (in order of familiarity):
- FITWah (quite a bit)
- Robe (many times)
- LW (several times)
- CC Stilly (a few times: I don't really dig this run because the shuttle is longer than the run, so running laps is tedious)
- Cascade (only paddled it twice- prefer to run it during melt-off)
runs I've done once (but would return to):
- Jefferson
- S. Fork Skokomish (makes a good weekend w/ Jefferson crk)
- McCoy /Yellowjacket (I highly reccomend it)
runs I'd add to the list for those of the adventurous spirit (i.e- they involve hiking in, and they're legit class V runs):
- N. Frk Skokomish
- Deer Creek
(both of those I did with Ben this year, and both are worth doing)

I could help out with the FITW, Robe, CC Stilly, SF Skok, Cascade and Jefferson.
Although I already made my list, there is something that really peaks my interest about The NF Tolt and the Puyallup gorge. I mean they are right here in our backyard and yet they never get run do to access. Now I'm not saying I'm excited to spend days hiking and hunting but it just seems like the right thing to do doesn't it?
