Happy New Year to all of the Robe Gnomes out there...
This weekend looks good for flows. Not sure yet, but I may try to hit it up one or both days, depending on flows and when whoever goes.
I'll try to firm up some plans by friday, but most likely my general plan will be to meet at the 160th PnR at 10am on sat.
stay tuned if interested.

160th PnR is on I-405. It is a common meet spot for people carpooling to the Sky, to Robe, or other points northward. There's a boater in Wallingford who boats Robe. We don't have to meet at 160th, but there's a few Robers who live near there. We'll figure it out.

'bout an hour to an hour an a half, depending on what time of day/traffic. I'm sort of handicapped at the moment- without a phone. So you guys' best bet is to coordinate with someone else. See what Fish says.
James? You gonna Robe on Sat? Happy Aniversary, James and Lydia! 10 years is something to celebrate for sure!

I dunno. It's level dependent for mmwaa. As you know I have a booboo on my footsie and I am clangin around like the rusty tin man. The most I have been in the water is my weekly shower ... so if it's at a level I like and don't feel pushes me ... I will tap dat other wize I might just be burn'en da green like the wicked which of the west, bumpin ole todo from top to bottom.

Lately my thing is taking the EZg out on the Sky. Makes me feel like the Scarecrow, all stumbling around off balance an 'at. Maybe If I'd had a brain I could figure out how to work that thing.
Then again, at the Island Falls on the U.U. Cispus the other week I wanted to run away like the the Lion with no courage.
Behemoth was sweet though- it has a huge, beautiful slab of greenwater leading into the boof, very Emerald City like. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, though- that would be Rob. He flushed out eventually.
Anyway, right now I'm in the city, clicking my heels over and over again, chanting:
"There's no place like Robe,There's no place like Robe,There's no place like Robe..."

Sounds like plans to head south are in question so there probably will be some paddlers on Robe this weekend. Soak / Badaz : Dunno what your comfort levels are for medium-big water creeking. As you've probably heard, Robe is safest (if not easiest) in the low 5s. Above 5.5 is gets pushier but oh so sweet. What an awesome river and it's always cool when there are more people around to run t it. Ben

A defender of the Robe Watch Thread!! I love it!
Had to highlight the fiddler's statement about Robe above 5.5- I think in some ways it's safer. Yes it is pushier, but also more padled out and cleaner.
Excited to see some interest crop up: The run could use more folks to brighten up that gloomy canyon!
And BTW, Bret- I don't think there's mush H2o in the drainages you specified (but I could be very wrong)

Not sure what north drainages are being referred to, but there isnt much water in the bham area (north fork, clearwater, middle fork, etc.). I would like to boat robe tomorrow so lets hope the rain doesnt blow it out. 5.5 now and holding.....

I was hoping that it would stay under 5 ft today so tomorrow I could have a nice low 5 off the couch day but it don't look like that is the case. Have fun out there today!!! Lucky non workin dogs.

The Robe rocks! Two of us bombed down it today. The "New" log is still in Garbage and it tightens up the line a bit. Didn't see any root ball on it.

Levels and weather look great for an afternoon Robe lap. Is anyone interested in meeting up around 2:30 today for a lap?

I'm out for today Scott. Keep an eye out for a rope attached to a green bag below Mrs. Robinson's. I threw it but didn't check my footing first and had to drop it.

OK Robe Watch Re-activate!! It would seem as if many of the usual suspects are conspiring to run Robe tomorrow (wed), myself included!
right now it's looking like there's an 11am meet at the T.O. and possibly a 2:30 meet as well or instead. Rob wants to do two laps. Some folks are watching levels before they commit, and others are eyeing their work schedules.
Me, I just need someone to carpool with at either time. One thing is for sure: The pool of available Robe-Runners IS NOT BIG ENOUGH!!! C'mon, Seattle! Represent! Just call one of us if you plan on meeting us out there so we know to expect ya.
