I'm again amazed by the power of running water, the log jam at Terminator Rapid on Canyon Creek is no more..... Hurray!!! I honestly thought I would never see Terminator again in my life time, but..... mother nature is a fickle lady and she decided that it was time to move those logs off my beautiful stretch of river. Now the bungee jumpers and the Canopy tour zippers can sail over the beautiful Canyon Creek's majestic, sparkling waters once again The log jam came in on January 9, 2009 and left us on January 16, 2011. We ran it new year's eve as the water was rising immediately before the tragedy. Haven't been down there since. I guess I was in denial and didn't want to see it for myself. Now I can go back and pretend like it never happened. Sweet!! ------------- let's go get it |

I'm going to wait to get excited until someone checks out the whole run. It's hard to imagine all of that debris moving downstream and not plugging up other drops. It's amazing that sh*t pile moved in the first place though. |

| with as much flow as had to be going through there when the logjam blew out, any wood left behind is more likely to be deposited high on the banks where eddies formed than it is in the actual riverbed. There are no guarantees, but hopefully the wood is up near the treeline or floating around the lake. |

Johnson Creek.... CC Race is such a great event. Was that from the 2008 race? What a fun weekend...70 degrees and sunny, good party, perfect flows on CC, Copper Creek came in on Sunday.
Glad to hear the run is clear!

That 2008 event weas incredible. Coming around the corner for the last two drops and seeing the canyon full of people partying and doing flips into the river off boulders all while boofing, was just too much fun. ------------- Jon Shell Bee |
