I'll probably be on the sky on friday but head directly to wenatchee from there. If you want to go earlier in the week just let me know, sky would probably be the only one i would really be interested in

Hey there,

Toni here... of the random Canadians that kept appearing last November.

Will be over on the mainland as of Thursday, and looking to boat from Friday or Saturday until Tuesday. Green and Skykomish would be great.

What is the scoop on the Oso landslide and road access to mountain loop ie Middle Stilliguamish?

Will touch base when I know which day we'll cross into Washington.

Date Posted: 25 Mar 2014 at 10:35pm
the landslide was on the north fork of the stillaguamish.  the south fork of the stillaguamish is the other side of mountain loop highway, and the one ith the class III and V runs.  give me a call when you get here and we'll meet up for sure.  i think i may have met you in november, but may be it was a different set of canadians.

Greg, we met you last Nov. at the Middle Stilli and the following weekend we were just about to bike shuttle the Middle Middle in the pouring rain, but your girlfriend gave us a lift up instead which was awesome.
So... driving over later today, but thinking we might paddle something in the Vancouver BC area on Friday before crossing the border.

Hey what is the scoop with the Suiattle? That river looks fun. Was your snowpack this year as abysmal as ours, or do you think the access will still be snowed in? It says it's running, but can you get to it? It looks high elevation.

toni- the suiattle is doable, but you will have to take highway 20 out of burlington to get there, since the other road to get there is shut down from the mudslide.  the upper run of the suiattle is not acesscible due to the road being washed out, but you can run from rat trap bridge to the confluence witht the sauk.  it has alot of wood and its not very exciting,  so i think you guys should check out some other runs. the skykomish seems to be the best thing running right now, unless some other runs come up.

so whos boating tommorow?

12 at split rock? Anyone?

The sky at 3pm sounds like a good plan for today (Friday).

Not exactly sure where split rock is, last Fall we put in near Index then floated down to the parking lot at the bridge as the water was high and the run was so quick to do.

Ian picked up a US prepaid phone last week in California as the Canadian roaming rates were getting insane. 760-920-5842

So we're going to cross the border and won't really be able to check the forum til tonight at the earliest if we hit up a restaurant with wifi.

Are hoping to camp on the Green at the state park tonight and run the gorge in the morning. Going to create a new thread so that some people might see it looking to paddle this weekend.

So hope to see you guys at 3, we will find you if you are visible from the road.

Yeah split rocks about halfway between index and the bridge. I'LLC be there at 12 and I'll catch you guys at 3 for a second lap.
