Many of you have probably seen this already, I think it is pretty good for kayakers to be watching, so in case it passed anyone by I just wanted to share really quick.
This was injected into my Facebook feed by Powder magazine/ Black Diamond in some advertising/awareness campaign. I have no idea what Black Diamond even produces .. I thought it was mountain bikes .. that must be wrong .. but w/e ..
This set of articles is fascinating. (Still incomplete, part of a series thats being published weekly for a few more weeks.)
It shares some really relevant philosophical factors in risk-taking. Although their focus is on avalanche-safety in snow-sports, I cant help watching it without subjecting any of my own whitewater-side carnage-causing choices to the same critique.
If you haven't seen it (wonder about what "The Six Hueristic Traps,
are .. etc..) Give it a watch/read, I think it is really great philosophy.
