Big Q was pretty clean as of Sunday. There is a big log jam that is fairly large about 200-300 yards above Cassarlys that seems like it is keeping the wood from going downstream. If you go in and the log jam is gone I would consider hiking out and going elsewhere as there are some big pieces of wood in the jam. Both of the normal portages near the bottom of the upper section still have wood and we portaged on the left which was not an easy task. One of the rapids right below the big portage that pushes into a left pocket has wood in the outflow and would be definitely worth a scout/portage. The gauge seems to be fairly inconsistent as we put on at 400cfs and dropping on Sunday and did the run at the exact same level a month or two ago and it was significantly higher on the previous run. We lost a raft paddle doing one of the portages so if someone sees and grabs it there will be some good ice cold beer sent your way.
