Two of us meeting at the take out for a morning run.

Was holding some hope for enough rain to make the Green a possibility, but opting for the sure thing since the forecast does not show torrential downpours.

I want to boat Sat., but the Sky is such a long drive, I was hoping for a middle fork run or upper gorge.

I'll probably be out there too since presently it looks like not much else is running but instead of my kayak I'll be in my play canoe with other canoer's.  Hope to run into you all.

Courtney, right on, can you roll and freestyle in it. I've seen some radical stuff done in a canoe.
Carpool sounds cool James, with a ride combo?

Hi Dave,

Yes, I can roll the canoe and I can also do some freestyle moves but nothing meant for rodeo's.  Just general front and side surfing, 360's and an ender from time to time.  It's alot of fun.  I started when I lived back east for something different to do other than kayaking so I go back and forth between the two.  However since the water's colder out here I haven't been paddling the canoe as much as I did there.  If you're around when I'm out you're welcome to get in and try it out.

So, what's the deal with early morning trips?  I've got to come over from Bainbridge...  Anyone up for anything on Sunday (and a bit later in the day?).

Sorry - should have said the rr bridge take out.  Actually, I am not sure what the split rock take out is - know that i have been there, can't remember where though.

On the timing - I had some stuff to do for the rest of the day - not sure if the prevailing opinion is that later is better.  It works better for me and my friend, but could be persuaded to push it to 10am if it meant kayaking with others and scoring a relay.  No offense taken either if someone posted an 11am trip or something and went to that instead of the 9am. We pretty much have to stick to 9-10.

Actually, Leif is right, 0900 is a bit early considering the drive, can we change it to 1000 or later? How about a vote?

This is my first post!  I'm interested in running the Sky Saturday morning.   Can I join in?  If so, what time at the RR bridge?

Hey John -  sounds great.  There really is no "group" event - just people posting and showing up...kind of like socialism without the crappy health care.

We have the trip posted for 9am, but it sounds like a few want to switch to 10am, which is cool with me.

James - could you switch the time to 10am?

Hey Guys, I'm anxious to get out there too.  I'll see you all there.
If anyone is interested in car pooling let me know.  I'm okay with driving or meeting somewhere - I'm coming from Redmond.

Looks like my plans have changed as my canoe group is going to paddle on Sunday instead and I'm not able to.  I'll be seeing you all tomorrow but instead of my canoe I'll be in my kayak.

I'd love to come tomorrow; however, I just got back from Atlanta, and really don't think I am going to be able to get up at 6 am to catch the 7:05 ferry...

I'll be in Seattle this next week and will definitely be up for something next weekend.

I have a prediction.... Tomorrow the river will be higher than it is right now.

Current Reading: 1730cfs

I am now accepting bets against my prediction. Maybe if we get enough rain we can do the NF of the SKY!!! What a treat that would be.
