Old Canyon
On the bottom of the last slide there is an old canyon that is where the river used to be. A new log jam has sealed this canyon entrance off and now it is vacant. Pretty Ominous Sight

James, what are these slides called? And what is that creek on RL up in the right hand corner? Was there a massive log jam in there in '07?

The old canyon looked like it got choked with wood and basically plugged up. We explored it well and had the log jam not been there re-routing the river over those manky new series of slides it would have run through the old mini canyon and over a nice uniform 25 footer. So no it's not actually a creek but rather a dry river bed/mini canyon. If those logs washed away it would be epic, and perhaps really bad for the rest of the run.

No one has run those slides to my knowledge there for they remain the un-named manky slides. Everytime I have been up there the slides looked totally runnable but there was always dangling wood and logs broaching the river in nasty places that made it really questionable in terms risk/reward ratio.

The center slot on those slides definitely goes. Right and left could be painful, potentially fatal on the right. But there is a definite line in the middle at higher flows.
