   Run Description [Season: october-june]

This is a great begginers run as well as a nice surf practice run & though its not very remote the creek has managed to carve out a nice gorge type feel. The run starts off above two very cool small ledges. with a big rain these two ledges at the far right of mcmurphy park have several fun routes down them and offer some cool play features with weir like pourovers in spots. As you continue down the river the first 1/4mi stretch has several play waves on river right with high enough flow. after that you'll hang a right & come to another series of lower less substantial ledges that depending on level create river wide small surf waves, a series of 5 within the next half mile, it mellows down a bit after that as you pass some nice high riverside walls and several small but tall waterfalls. then youll pass under a bridge and continue on to a railroad bridge with 3 routes down it, left being the most busy and right being more technical. the middle is clogged currently. after this rapid the creek widens turns to the left & is met with another large creek on river right into an s turn with another creek entering on river left and making a fun little swift water stretch with several eddies and islands that make for good ferrying practice. in between here & the take out there are a few more areas similar. All in all a very fun run if you are local or just getting started. great surfing practice & easy access.
