Putin DetailsYou can walk in from the visitor center, but expect a heard of sheeple to follow you. Alternatively, you could also break the law and trespass on BNSF land, but you would have to figure that out and I dont recommend breaking any laws ever. |
Takeout DetailsAnywhere down stream. |

Fun FactsYou can park and huck or take out when the canyon opens 20 minutes down stream or float to Troy.
Kootenai Falls is a highly impressive place where the river drops 300 feet over a very short section. The Kootenai tribe regarded this area as a very spiritual place as archaeological evidence indicates the presence of sweat lodges and clay for pipes all up and down the river banks. When you see it, you understand why. |
Run Description [Season: Run Off Cycle]We chose the conservative far left line which drops ~20 vertical feet.
Down stream is an impressive feature known as Super Wave (~15,000 cfs). Great surfing to be had so bring a play boat as well.
Continue on down stream for more big water class IV.
