  Access

Currently access to the put is is problematic Unless you know a resident of the upper N/. Fork with access to the gate you need to hike up the N. Fork of the Sky road upstream of the closure. Approximately 3 miles up the road turn left over the NF bridge and follow the road/trail for around 1.5 miles. The trail is rapidly becoming overgrown and crosses several landslides and washouts.

  Putin Details

Hike up the trail over a land slide, a washed out creek and put in above or below the 18" Entrance Falls near Quartz Creek.

  Takeout Details

The best takeout is currently at Trout Creek on the NF.

Run Description [Season: Heavy Rains and Snowment]

This once classic run was devastated by the big floods that occurred several years ago. It is now choked with wood that requires frequent scouting and portaging. Many of the rapids that are free of wood are strewn with boulders located such that the drops are manky with significant pin potential.   Unfortunately this run is probably not worth the effort until another major flood reinvents the creek again.
