  Putin Details

Follow the Korb book directions. Hike down the hill UPSTREAM of the gully.

*Korb directions were good. From the clearing at the end of the old road, we hiked down to our left, and lowered our boats with rope. Steep, but not cliffed out. Dropped down onto a little bench that was a ideal putin.*

  Takeout Details

Korb book is outdated here. The takeout road number has changed to Road 800.

lots of channel-spanning old growth wood. We portaged 8 times on 11/18/2012 - Posted by: BRoss on 11/19/2012 10:11:00 AM -  [Remove Alert]

There are no forum threads pinned to this run.

  Other Issues

There is wood on this run. Come prepared to portage several times, possibly catching small eddies right next to the wood. The steep sluffing banks do not help the trees stay out of the river.

  Fun Facts

A fun little canyon with several creeking options all within a half hour drive.

Many many beautiful waterfalls drop into this canyon, including a large cascade pouring right down on a fun ledge.

   Run Description

This run is pool-drop in nature with nothing overly steep and no ledge higher than 5'. There is a short gorge section that is busy and fun. The soil is sandy and prone to sliding, so watch out for wood.

note: ran on 2/13/10 with 3000 and falling on SF Skok and found it to be med/med-low ~ Brett Barton

Ran on 11/18/2012 with the SF Skok gauge rising between 1500 and 2500 while on the creek, rising to 6000 overnight. Started out feeling low and ended up feeling perhaps medium. Ben Ross
