Oregonkayaking.net says they ran it at 3,500 on the toutle river at tower rd. but had very low water. I saw a video on gorgehits.com and they ran it at 6,000 on the tower rd. gauge and had what looked like high water. so you can make your best assessment with that.
The Gnargasm portage is way easier than described in the Oregon Kayaking TR. There is a hard to make eddy that can be used if you want to run the last ledge before gnar. You can portage well above this last ledge which makes for a low stress portage. On a March '16 run we had 9k and dropping, which was high but more water would have been manageable. The gnar portage eddy described in OK was completely uncatchable (although another "hero eddy" opened up just downstream). A couple of the eddies/holes of the lower angle rapids were pretty big and would require ropes to get out of. Fixed ropes were in good shape for the R. Right takeout. Bring a saw and as much daylight as you can muster for maximum enjoyment.
