Planning to hit the Thompson the weekend of the 20th.  Would like to leave as early as possible on the 19th, and could be persuaded to do a 3 day weekend (Up to Carpoolees).  Quite a few people have expressed interest - let's figure out timing and vehicle logistics.

I can probably be on that schedule, too.  I think I have four other people wanting to ride in the truck; I also think Sampson wants to go with you, but headcount could easily change by next week...

Jeff and I are looking at leaving Friday afternoon, returning Sun evening.  Who else wants to carpool with us?

I've got 4 so far.
Samson, Justin, and Chris and myself,

So where are we meeting - Kumsheen or Skihist?

I've got 3, would like one more.  I guess no one is boating anymore.

Nonetheless, thinking of camping at Skihist.  Kumsheen wants 25per person/per night.  I emailed them to see if they would cut us a deal...and they wouldn't.  I guess if they are empty when we get there, we can always try to make a deal in person.

You can always dirtbag camp across the street from Kumsheen (Free).. There is an old gravel pit over there and lots of open space... At least that was a couple of years ago.. There is also a very nice free spot across the Fraser river.. The ferry is free. Just follow the road about 4 miles (I think)and you will see it on the left side just after a bridge..

First one there, leave a note on the noticeboard.

Wear I love Canada shirt instead of displaying NRA gang signs Jeff.  That will do the trick.

Chris, Justin, Adrian and Sampson-- sorry I didn't really say good-bye to you yesterday!  I thought we'd cross paths again.  But THANK YOU for a wonderful weekend.  Swirlies and swillies and bears!  Oh my!  :)  Good times!

Liz, It was great meeting you.  You are gonna be a great boater.

Franz, we used the river left take out near the confluence with the Frasure the first day, and on the second day we took out right below cutting board.  We put in the first day at spences bridge, and if you wanted to take your cat boat it would be a good idea to get the key from kumsheen, otherwise it would be a really long carry.  The second day we put in at the Frog.

Just got some pix uploaded to my flickr page.  I've got a ton more that I'm not going to post 'cuz there are just too many of 'em.  If you want to see the whole set, PM me and we can figure something out (i.e. burn them to a cd or something).  Great trip!  Here's the link..
