With the ball about 1.5 weeks off its time to let everyone know what I have planned for the Rodeo and to ask for judges and scribes.

The format will be based on a 1 - 2 - 3 point system simmilar to the Hometown Throwdown scoring, but different. The ultimate goal is to get as many folks out there as possible to have FUN and not worry about being a rodeo star. In the end variety is key, the one hit big trick wonder won't cut it and on the other side 55 ends and 40 flat spins won't get you there either. I will have the Format Scoring Sheet up on my trailer and the PP Ball Camp Site when I roll in.

Heats, well there are no heats. We will create the lineup at random and all participate at once. Most likely 3 runs per participant but can change dependant on the amount of entries.

Venue will be decided on Friday before the Ball (May 29) and based on flows. The possible locations: Trinity Wave, Rodeo Hole, Upper Rodeo Hole, Turkey Shoot, Grannies or Cherry Hole.

When Sunday 12:00 noon at the finalized location.

Prizes will be given. The winner earns bragging rights and a nominal prize. The big money items will be done by raffle back at camp. We will put all the participants names into the drawing, and prizes will be drawn at random and handed out. After all is said and done, you can trade prizes with whom ever. In the end, everyone should get something for participating.

Tony - seems like you should do the announcing...

I'd be happy to be a Judge, but am heavily biased, keep loyal to my close friends, and have a very short attention span when it comes to watching someone surf a wave.

Tony-- I ain't no Rodeo Star. So I'm willing to help out in some capacity. No one wants me (or Leif) as a judge though. Pick someone who knows what they are lookin at.

Safety, or anything else (I also have a loud mouth-ask Brad) I'm happy to oblige.

With my recent kedney issues and the latest doctor visit, I was told not to travel for a couple days and rest, they did some very uncomfortable things in there today. So - that means I will not be out to head up the rodeo, sorry for the let down. I have however arranged for other members to get this done in my absence and have sent the box load o' goods ahaid to the ball so the Prizes Are There!
