For those of you that have cruised around the site, you will soon find
out that we have a increasingly large collection of video's and
Photo's. To continue to build this collection it is very important that
we watch the size of the files that are uploaded to the site.
Most video's are over 1mb in size. To decrease download time and
increase the quality of all video's, I have started using Divx
Compression to encode these files. You can still upload uncompressed
video, but I would appreciate it if the file size stays under 10mb.
Because I am using Divx Compression you must install the Divx Codec to
view the video's. Codecs are similiar to plugins which compress and
decompress video in different formats and teqniques. Divx is one of the
best in my opinon and I have always used it without problems. To
install the Divx Codec with windows media player or anyother player, go
to this page and download a free copy. After you have installed it you
will be able to view the video's
