Unsure if it was run this year (probably not, it didn't have much of a window). But, there are new (2012 or 2013, not sure) satellite images on Bing maps (use 'aerial view') that show the landslide and the original rapids are gone. It was a massive event.
I think the canyons that were buried will never come back in our lifetime.
It would still be worth the trip, just to cross the coast mountains, and the rapids in the great canyon on day 2 are sick, but the classic big water on day 3 I think is gone for good.

If you put in the coordinates 51.270806, -124.866225 into bing and google you get a before and after picture of the slide, pretty cool to see how much material slid into the river.

Talk to tretwold (zenofww). He seemed to think that despite the best part of the run being shut down, it is still worth doing. Although, probably not what you are thinking of or have in mind Sam.

Thanks for the beta Steve I'm really hoping that somehow that landslide gets washed out... Sounds unlikely. Jonathan I think I would be stoked on it a fun scenic run in the middle of nowhere now the price for the float plane not sure into that I would be.
