The water is lasting up there in BC this year too!!

We are getting a crew together to go up to the Nahatlach in a couple of weekends.  It should be a good flow for both the Meatgrinder and Canyon sections.

I would love to have a big group up there.  We could bring a raft and I'd guide folks who aren't kayakers.   I'll also have my catboat and my duckie and willing to share those.

Its such a good place to camp and boat.

anybody down?!!!

I would love to run something new up there.  I'm a little rusty kayaking but would be up for class 3-4....

Well that would mean you would have to drive in the back way with us. We are going to take Kookapei point road in from Harrison Res. It is most certainly a longer drive but your going through alpine meadows instead of the fraser valley.

On the way I would plan to stop and check out Big Silver Creek, and then stop again at Kookapei creek and Timber Flats Creek. Granted these are more toward the class V side than the class 3-4 side. Still it would be an amazing route to enjoy even if flows did not permit. Take a bike and you could ride almost 4000' of elevation down to the nahatlatch valley from the top of the pass!

Hi ~ I am a Kiwi paddler cruising the North West looking for paddling opportunities and heading to Canada next week sometime.  Could be at the Nahatlatch the weekend of 21/22 August.  Would be good to link up with your group if that was possible?
cheers

Are you planning on hooking up with Samson's trip (or are Samson and you putting the trip together)?

I would be game, and I have a friend that might take up some raft space if it is an option.

Hi Kyle ~ just asking if it is possible to hook up with anyone planning on the Nahatlatch if they were there over the weekend 21/22 August.  I am on a road trip so my internet connectivity is spasmodic.  My phone number is 415 283 6234.

Dang it horner. 1pm? or like 4pm?

It will determine if I go or not cuz I am all about hitting kookapei point road but not if were alone cuz getting stranded out there would be bad.

Just some fair warning. Friday afternoon on a summer weekend, I-5 north will be a parking lot all through Everett up to Marysville.

I'm headed up, but I'll leave later in the evening or early sat AM.
