Does anyone feel that the site is slow or does the site seem to be slower than it was a few weeks ago?

The reason I ask is because I just wrote an app that is running on my
server and it gets gauge data from the USGS, and several other water
authorities in Canada and the US. It is a monster, and when I say
monster I am not kidding. While the app executes the data parsing and
storage procedures it runs at like 100k - 200k of paged memory and it
is hogging like 40% of the proc during the execution of each connection
with each data provider. Of course the difference is a change from just
Washington to All 50 states + Guam, Puerto Rico, Canada, and parts of
Mexico. So were are stepping up a bit more data in the process. lol
from like 100 Gauges to over 8k.

Oh man it looks like I might need a full server just to retrieve
Gauges, and other data that we want to syndicate. If we ever did a
snowfall, waterlevel, weather etc.... The thing could become a monster.

Anyways I am just curious because I am watching this hog closely but it
does not seem to be affecting my experience on the site yet. Anyone
else?
