I'm in. I'll have two boaters from the MN-crew to join us as well. Let's just hope Santa brings us some rain!

Where were you guys thinking of going?

probably the sky or something similar.

if people want to go elsewhere, like robe or something, you're still welcome to come over for potluck after boating.

Down to get in some Christmas day boating. It'll give me a valid excuse to avoid having to go spend part of the day with people from work.

I'm wagering that we'll have at least some water in the Green, and I'm open to all possibilities. Favoring the full trip.

Merry merry!

Hey y'all. I've got visitors coming in late Tuesday to do some boating over the holidays, so I'm going to try and cram in as many rivers as possible for as long as flows hold.

I'd really like to start Wednesday by getting a better read on Julia's skills, so I'm hoping the MM holds (she's got a good roll, I'm just wondering how often she'll need it...). However, if levels drop then I think we'll try and hit the Sauk instead. After that we'll go where the water is, but I'm wondering how many people are interested in those options for Wednesday?

I'm really down to go wherever - but the Sauk feels kinda far.. hopefully water here will hold. it's christmas so i'd like to do a run everyone can do and feel comfortable on. but not everyone has to go to the same place if there are some strong diverging opinions.

as for a potluck, who's down? the weather should be nice so i'm thinking we should bust out the grill. i'm told we just can't close the lid due to some paint chipping issues.. or something. i'm down to get some meat but it would be nice to know how many are coming...

SO, if you haven't chimed in yet that you're interested, let me know....

I'm down for whatever, but I was hoping for the Green personally. Any themes for this potluck?

Hoping for a full green on this side too, but it's looking like some stout flows at the moment. I'd be down with the Sky too, esp. since it's close to home.

think the green might be a little stout for me. but i also wouldn't want to stop anyone from getting some green action if we wanted to split into two crews.

no theme for potluck. just hungry homeless/transplant kayakers sharing a meal on the holiday. bring whatever you want. a couple of years ago, someone else hosted one of these on christmas and it was pretty awesome. i think there was a robe crew and a sky crew.

I'm probably in for some christmas boating. Going to a brunch in the morning so a later (1:00?) start time would work for me.

Whats up!

Looking forward to some boating tomorrow!

I may have a few peeps interested in a lower green run tomorrow if the water drops to 3k or less.

I am open to going to the sky if its 6k or less, m.m. at 2k or less, or the green if its 3k or less. Looks like all three will be in those ranges by morning! Should be a sunny warm day with good flows! Lets make a decision on where and when and hit it up!

So I'm setting the time for dinner at 6pm. I live in Kirkland and if any Seattlites have time to kill and don't want to head west, you're totally welcome to come over earlier than that and hang out.

i got lazy and decided to get two papa murphy's pizzas for tomorrow instead of going grocery shopping and cooking. If you need my address, send me a PM or text me at 603-seven62-198two. Anyone is welcome, the more the merrier, and feel free to bring whatever you want.

as for boating, i'm not going to be surprised if there are multiple crews heading to different rivers at different times. i'm having a hard time committing to a specific plan right now.

so if some of you guys definitely want to run the upper green tomorrow, go ahead and coordinate.... i'm going to have to decide later.

Hey Ya'all!
Just got confirmation email for a lower green run tomorrow if anyone is interested!

Renee and Bill are leading. 11:30 FGSP meetup for a 12:30 put on at Paradise.

If you are interested in a the upper section as well, there is a tentative group meeting at 10:15 FGSP that will meet up with the 12:30 crew at Paradise. The upper is not confirmed as of yet and around 2500cfs is the max people are willing to paddle. Send a response to this if you are interested in the upper and we can try to coordinate a definite plan.

Any other options planned as of yet?

O.k.

Just confirmed that the Upper green is a go at any water level! Meet at FGSP by 10:15/10:30.

The upper green crew will hopefully meet up with the lower green crew at around 12:30 at Paradise for a big happy family float to FGSP!

C-ya on the water!

All of that works for me, Mike.

Let's see where they put the flow, and it'll all fall in place.

Edit:
How'd that happen? You beat me to response by seconds.

Anyway, I'll be limiting my own level maximum for the Upper, but paddling with you all tomorrow regardless.

The surf is looking good, however.....hahahaa.

Anyone have a spare XXL deck spray skirt I can borrow?

Thanks!

Lets just hope the flows don't tank overnight for the Green so we don't have to come up with last minute plans. I bought salad stuff, granola bars, plus plates/cups/utensils since I thought maybe this would be out by the river somewhere actually. Oh well, heh. See you all tomorrow!

Hey! Where are those Oly guys?

Tilton is low but certainly fluid, should remain paddlable for tomorrow, anyone interested in a nice weather, lowish, X-mass Tilton trip? That's a day, but it couldbe so worth it!!!!!

Chris, are you wanting to replace it with the Green?  Or just as a backup plan? I'm good with whatever, but I'd like to be back in time for the party.

Green is a lot closer, espically considering Jen's dinner.

Tilton was just a quick question, if anyone checks here who knows.

I'm planning Green, thinking Tilton, and surfing emergency override.

oh yeah, i now see the ambiguity in my first post.

Thanks for getting plates and stuff! I forgot and with 9 confirmed so far (that i definitely know will be there for dinner... not just boaters that have posted in this thread), I might not have enough real plates for everyone. and last minute stragglers are welcome too... it's christmas :)

Well I'm in for the full run even if flows don't drop. I was just making sure what the plan was.

Well, I'm used to just doing riverside stuff like that. Keep forgetting where I am and the time of year. Hopefully we don't need too much, I was only thinking 15 people max. I hope I have enough. As for the Sky, I figured that would always be our last resort, but that it wasn't the first or second backup.

Me and Chris Enos are hitting the Tilton tomorrow if anyone wants to join us, 10 or 11 at the takeout. I think it should be around 1200 tomorrow. We could make it earlier if people want to get back in time.

I'm still in for the full Green, or at least the upper, if flows don't drop too low and someone else wants to boat it. If no one else is interested in at least the Upper, I'll head to the Tilton just so I can boat something new.
