Hey All

Posting for Otterboy (Bryon Scruggs) here.  He is in Leavenworth raft guiding and wants to go creekin' on Friday.  Can do anywhere in the Sky drainage OR something on the East side.

He does not have access to this sight so please don't post here if you are interested.  Instead give him a call at:

Scruggs really needs to learn to use the browser on his phone...

If only Leif was as good at creeking as he is talking smack about technology...

What, no one can blow off work today? Am I doomed to spend the rest of the day in the Leavenworth library. The barbarians won't let me in with coffee (which should NOT count as food) so I have to sit on the floor right outside.

So who's in for the Rapid River?

The Rapid River is not creeking...

Define your idea of "creeking". Is there an upper limit on CFS?

The Rapid NOT creeking?!  Cmon, dude, just because it doesn't have a 20' doesn't mean its not creeking.  Definitely creeky stuff.  Were you thinking of playboating it?

Yo Harms,

Yeah, I'm out east driving the big rubber bus. I am the God-King of the Wenatchee River!

Lief, are you a consultant or something? I try and pin you down with a definition and you get all evasive!

Semantics. "Creekin" has come to mean whatever anyone wants it to mean who thinks they know what it means. Just like the words "Boof" and "Mystery Move". Once these terms entered the P.W.L. (just for you johnny-come-latelys that stands for "Popular Whitewater Lexicon"), People liberally include these through out their speech so as to appear to be "In-the-know" , thus diluting and cheapening there meaning.

Mike, haven't you heard? For one's actions to qualify as "Creekin", the smallest drop on the run in question now-a-days must be AT LEAST 60' high. A boof only qualifies as a boof if it makes a sound that can be heard from 3 miles away (after landing said 60' drop), and, well, Mystery Moves always have and still are only achievable in a squirtboat. Going deep at "The Plunge" or falling out of a raft doesn't count.

And as usuall, nothing I say on this forum should be taken seriously (except the bit about MysteryMoves)

Apparently noone should take you seriously about anything then.  Because your bit about mystery moves isn't true either.  Having paddled for 13 years I have been mystery moved many times in a full volume boat.

If anyone doesn't know what a mystery move is you can find out here with a description and a so so video example.
