also, anyone who knows Robe will relate to this:  WA boater n RobMcGibbin ran Robe on Wednesday... 7.1 at the gauge.  They ran it all cept landslide.

Thought I'd brag on them since they won't likely be sharing it.

That is some of the most serious action around...  Just imagine going through that section then having Golf Course right below, and what that must have looked like.

Nice work on Robe boys, that must have been a wild ride too!

Just tacking on to the praise and props ....

Rob and Darrin must've run 5 laps on the Sky when it peaked 55k on Sunday... Darrin quoted a mile went by in less than 4:30 seconds.  I did a run from Split on down to Big Eddy, which is probably the sketchiest run I've done in a long time.... wood was silly.
Also, Darrin is probably the only person to run BD down the middle at that ridicolous flow with Sam paddling just off his shoulder.  Sam is going big!
Ben also ran some laps that included BD... and others were out also getting a bigwater fix- D1, Brad, Super Joe!   Quite a day out there last Sunday!

I'll try and post of a short clip of lilD and Sam running BD....

Also, for a very fun big water stretch of classIII (easy IV) check out the NF from Trout to Index at flows above 15k on main sky

So the said crew ran Robe when the Stilly was in full on death-blender mode (as shown in the YouTube vids)? Hard to wrap my mind around that....

Post a heads-up when and if you post up the huge-water BD vids...

Jay, the Stilly was at 18 ft when I made my granite falls video, not 7. I am not sure anyone would argue that the Robe is survivable at that level. But hey, I'm always willing to hold a camera... ;)

Can't wait to see footy of high Sky! Watch out for dem cedars!

More water, please.

so the short vid clips are up... they aren't the best quality... esp the Rob one, but the jist is there so you get the idea.
oh, and a correction is in order... I wrongly stated five laps, it was only four :)
