I was just headed out for a drive and ran into Rob, Adrian and Sam, just getting off a run from Split Rock and about to head up for a full run from the confluence. Got some video at boulder... but the river was too damn fast to chase them and get more. I think they did confluence to big eddy in under 15 minutes. Flow was between 55 and 60K. "padded out"

Nice, glad someone got footage of that!  I think there's an unofficial rule that D1 is supposed to be in any video that has that soundtrack though. ;)

Sure James. This won't take up much space on a DVD, so how about I throw in some midget-porn as well?

That's cool but just remember I never "asked" for that it was all your idea.

thanks for posting, Joe. Yeah, Rob told me they looked like little specks in the water. They did.

Good footage, thanks for sharing! I'm glad I got to see what it looked like with someone in it... and yep, they looked like little specks in there. Still looked like they had a blast though!

Yeah... the water looked big just scouting from the shore... but add a boat in for perspective and it really gave a better idea how big it was. I didn't really shoot the biggest stuff either... I just shot what I was able to get a good look at. There was stuff on the river plenty bigger than what you could see in the video.

Does your camera have a zoom option?

I was by the river the last time it was at the 60K range and saw some guys "float on by"

I even knew one of the the guys who was joining the rest at Split Rock (Ben Hawthorne).  He mentioned his PP name but I forget.

Since this place seems to have it's share of "crazies" :-) (I mean that as a compliment), maybe if we got some notice the next time, we could arrange for some serious professional videography.  Two - Three camera's with stabilization and serious zoom

A pro can spend 2 hours and make some serious kayak porn ;-)

I think such a shoot could rival the SLP shoots of the Niagara Gorge (Well.. maybe not quite...)

This is not to say that this video is not AWESOME

Someone soon, I ought to stop merely reading PP and getting back on the water.  Aaahhh well.... I guess I should take what I can get ...

The hole is the last ledge on Eagle Falls.

The wave train is Eagle Falls...
