Hey all,

I've cruised the gauges and the books. Not sure what folks do when things are this high and rising...what's the deal? There has to be some obscure thing with a small drainage that is fun to paddle in the Seattle area...any advice? Wanna go get it done?

When it is cranking Pilchuck Creek is a jem with great 4+ rapids all day long!  What type of run are you after?  the Green gorge is crazy at this level I hear too.

Give a shout if you are thinking of going up to Pilchuck.

The MM at 15,000 would be a hoot also...

Looks like pillchuck's gauge was at 3k and going straight up yesterday, then it went offline. What do you know of the levels in there? The book recommends lower levels than the 3-6k that may be in there...but yeah, otherwise that sounds like what I'm into. You game?

I think Pilchuck's too high right now, but will probably come down quickly as the rain lets up.  The gauge always shuts down when it nears 3k.

This doppler is the best for knowing what's going on, you can zero in right above the drainage (surrounding Lake Cavanaugh)

Does the pilchuck gauge reliably turn back on At 3000 or is there a lag? Hoping to maybe check it out tomorrow

I have run the MM at 14,000 in my 4fun playboat. I am not sure I REALLY want to do it again at those levels. It was pretty scary. But, I would be all in at 10,000 or below in a play boat.

Matta, most the times I've checked, once the river drops below that magical shut off point around 3K the gage starts showing the current level at the next scheduled report time, which is every 3 or 4 hours, I believe.
