Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is planning to paddle the chelan this weekend. I'm from Spokane and no one from here is going over so if I could meet up with someone to paddle it would be sweet!

Thanks
Brian Jamieson

You need a minimum of 6 people I think? And if they haven't already registered the release is probably already canceled.

Fish?

I talked with Kris at the Chelan PUD,   she said we only have 3 people signed up currently.   They will only release water this weekend if 6 people register by tomorrow. I hope we can get enough paddlers to rally and preserve this run.

I signed up, hopefully there will be enough people. I've wanted to do it for a long time but just turned 18 this year.

I am going to try and rally some folks for the sept releases because those are the only ones I can make. I am going camping with my family and extended family up by the cooper this weekend! Good luck getting the numbers it seems like there should always be enough folks ready for this run. Maybe not.

Hey Paddlers,

This weekend the Chelan Gorge releases are scheduled to happen, but we need your help to ensure this release and future releases!  Per the agreement, a minimum of 6 paddlers must be registered by tomorrow, and show up,  in order for the releases to take place.  Currently we don't have enough people registered. This is the third and final year of the flow study, and  I just wanted to get the word out.    Thanks!

seems like a good opportunity to do good for the boating community by going boating.

Bump.    We still need 1 more kayaker to register, we have 5 currently. Calling all creekers!   Come paddle in 70 degree water, and 90 degree weather this weekend!

unfortunately they were cancelled.  Didn't end up with 6 boaters.

Thanks to Fish for trying to rally everybody and keeping us informed.  Saved a drive to Chelan for me.

I heard someone bailed last minute after signing up to be there forcing the cancellation...What's up with that? If that really happened that is pretty lame.

That's pretty lame.

Why sign up and then let everyone down?

Adrian and I are already signed up for the first run in September. Who else is gonna be there. With the complete lack of enthusiasm the community is showing and demonstrating on a public level. I wouldn't be too surprised if this Septembers sessions will be the last for a while.

This isn't the toughest run, and its not the gnarliest in the area either. But its awesome. The people involved are awesome, the town is awesome, the bars are awesome, the nightlife is awesome, the entire scene is just plain awesome.

Lets do this people. Who wants to learn the lines?
