Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is planning to paddle the chelan this weekend. I'm from Spokane and no one from here is going over so if I could meet up with someone to paddle it would be sweet!

You need a minimum of 6 people I think? And if they haven't already registered the release is probably already canceled.

I talked with Kris at the Chelan PUD, she said we only have 3 people signed up currently. They will only release water this weekend if 6 people register by tomorrow. I hope we can get enough paddlers to rally and preserve this run.

I am going to try and rally some folks for the sept releases because those are the only ones I can make. I am going camping with my family and extended family up by the cooper this weekend! Good luck getting the numbers it seems like there should always be enough folks ready for this run. Maybe not. |

This weekend the Chelan Gorge releases are scheduled to happen, but we need your help to ensure this release and future releases! Per the agreement, a minimum of 6 paddlers must be registered by tomorrow, and show up, in order for the releases to take place. Currently we don't have enough people registered. unfortunately they were cancelled. Didn't end up with 6 boaters. Thanks to Fish for trying to rally everybody and keeping us informed. Saved a drive to Chelan for me. -joe |
