Whachoo Talkin Bout Willis?

Any lasting meaning to your cryptic words, Fiddler?
Of all of the rapids I've scouted on Robe, Hotel Cali is not one of them.
There a new piece of wood or sumthin? I was just there a little over a week ago...

Do elaborate

After last weeks wind/rain storm there WAS a piece of wood in the right side of Hotel, but as of yesterday the wood is now gone.   Ben and I did a  lap yesterday at 6.1 and saw no sign of that piece downstream either.   On a side note, the bottom half of Off Broadway is now different.  The right side seam has sunken a few extra feet, and the fan rock has rolled slightly.  You can still run right, but left might appeal to folks more now.

Gonna open a can of worms here for the sake of discussion.

I think I was specific enough. We're talking about a very obvious hazard that was visible from far upstream. Robe flooded days before, and everyone knows that Robe changes with every high water event.

I'm actually not interested in a can of worms. I didn't find the above quote to include any specifics.

Yup I know how much it changes. That's why any specifics you refer to (that are actually lacking) could be a little helpful.

Thanks for filling me in, Fish. I mean, I know its only internet beta, but with Robe, it doesn't hurt to keep up with its ever changing character. I know to boat with my eyes wide open all the time, like Jonny Cash n sh*t- but still, it would be a shame for some random piece of wood to sneak up on you days after someone else encountered it. So again, thanks Fish.

Off Broadway-
Dolly Parton is getting bony in her old age, apparently. Last time I was there it was about 5.3', and I went for the Boof on the bouffant (pronounced: boof-on-t) and pitoned pretty hard. That boulder is being pushed upward so that it has a much steeper face than it used to. I'll probably start going left again if its under 5.7'.

Makes a strong case for running Robe at higher flows. Cover all that unstable rock up.
Maybe 6.2' is the new 5.2'
