Hey I'm interested since I love self-supporting.

Is there any river beta out there for this run?  i don't see it listed anywhere.. at least not as "north fork"..

so two nights and how many miles?  how far is it from PDX?

ok, i don't have either guide.

20 miles in 2.5 days?  that sounds really slow.  are there side hikes?  do you know how much of it is flatwater?  is it somwhat continuous II-III?

oh, hmmm.  i guess i don't mind slow, and just hanging out reading or hiking or whatever while you're fishing, especially if it's a beautiful place.  but if it's mostly flatwater, it might not be for me.  can anyone better speak to the character of the river?

alternatively, and not to hijack your thread, is there another III-ish run that's good for a 2-3 day trip, that's in right now, and not too far away?

I don't see it in Soggy Sneakers, third edition, only the main Crooked River.

So you're not hiking up and then paddling down right? When you say "self-support" does that just mean paddling your kayak with all your camp gear etc? Thinking I could do this, depending on work this next week ... I have an Alpacka (so if we did have to hike up, I'd be into this too). How many do you have so far? Also, any possibility of going Friday afternoon/evening straight to Madras, putting in Sat morning?
